BBQ Ribs with Smoked Strawberry Glaze

Is it bbq if you don't put bbq sauce on it?  I've always wondered about that one. To me, anything is bbq if you grill it. What do you think?

Anyway, I was making multiple batches of Smoked Strawberry Honey Jelly and the smells that were coming out of the kitchen were absolutely amazing. This weekend also brought us temperatures in the 80s so of course we were itching fire up the grill. Hence, ribs with a Smoked Strawberry Honey Jelly!

I don't know about you, but we like our ribs with the meat falling off the bone. To achieve this, we season, cover, and bake in a low oven (225 degrees) for 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Then on goes the glaze and on the grill they go to get a nice char. Never fails!

However, this time we decided to go with smoking them on the grill for 3 hours at 225. Change is good, ya' know? At about hour 2 1/2, we took some of our Smoked Strawberry Honey Jelly straight out of the jar and glazed them. I gotta tell you, those were some awesome ribs. The meat didn't fall off the bone like we're used to but we sure didn't miss it at all.

Finger lickin' good.....literally!

We'd love to see how you are using our jellies!
